XII. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR RESIDENTS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION
A. PERSONAL INFORMATION
References to “Personal informations” in this Privacy Policy are equivalent to “Personal data” governed by European data protection law.
B. LEGAL BASIS FOR THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
We will only use your personal data if the law allows us to do so. Most often, we will use your personal information in the following circumstances:
● When we have to perform obligations relating to a contract to which you are a party or take action at your request before entering into such a contract.
● Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party) and your interests and fundamental rights do not outweigh those interests. Our legitimate interests include those relating to the conduct and management of our business to enable us to provide you with the best service/product and the best and most secure experience. We ensure that we consider and balance any potential impact on you (both positive and negative) and your rights before processing your personal information for our legitimate interests. We do not use your personal information for activities where the impact on you outweighs our interests (unless we have your consent or are required or permitted by law). You can obtain further information on how we assess our legitimate interests against any potential impact on you in relation to specific activities by contacting us.
● When we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.

In general, we do not rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your personal information, except for sending marketing communications by email. You have the right to withdraw your consent to marketing at any time by contacting us using the contact details provided above.
We have presented below, in tabular form, a description of how we plan to use your personal data and the legal bases we rely on for doing so. We have also determined what our legitimate interests are, if any. Note that we may process your personal data for more than one legal ground depending on the specific purpose for which we are using your data. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need information on the specific legal basis on which we rely for the processing of your personal data.
C. CONTROLLLER
This privacy policy is posted in the name of info@bureautech.com.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, including any request to exercise your legal rights, please contact us using the details set out below.
D. RETENTION OF DATA
We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it, including for the purpose of meeting legal, accounting or reporting requirements.
In determining the appropriate retention period for personal data, we take into consideration the amount, nature and sensitivity of personal data, the potential risk of harm resulting from unauthorized use or disclosure of your personal data, purposes for which we process your personal data and whether we can achieve these purposes by other means and applicable legal requirements.
In some cases, you can ask us to delete your data: see the Erasure request section below for more information.
In some cases, we may anonymize your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes, in which case we may use this information indefinitely and without further notice.
E. CHANGE OF PURPOSE
We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably believe that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original purpose. If you would like an explanation of how the processing for the new purpose is compatible with the original purpose, please contact us. If we need to use your personal data for unrelated purposes, we will notify you and explain the legal basis that allows us to do so.
Please note that we may process your personal data without your knowledge or consent, in accordance with the above rules, when required or permitted by law.
F. RIGHTS OF EU RESIDENTS IN RESPECT OF PERSONAL DATA
In certain circumstances, EU residents may have rights under data protection laws with respect to your personal data, as set out below:
● REQUEST ACCESS to your personal data (commonly called “request access to your personal data”). This allows you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to verify that we are lawfully processing it.
● REQUESTS THE CORRECTION of the personal data we hold about you. This allows you to have any incomplete or inaccurate data we hold about you corrected, although we need to verify the accuracy of any new data you provide to us.
● REQUEST FOR ERASURE of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing (see below), where we have unlawfully processed your information or where we are required to delete your personal data to comply with local legislation. Note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request for erasure for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request.

● OBJECT TO PROCESSING of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground because you feel that it affects your fundamental rights and freedoms. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your personal information which override your rights and freedoms.
● RESTRICTION OF THE PROCESSING of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data in the following cases: (a) if you want us to establish the accuracy of the data; (b) where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it; (c) where you need us to keep the data even if we no longer need it to establish, exercise or defend your rights; or (d) if you have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have compelling legitimate grounds for using it.
● REQUEST THE TRANSFER of your personal data to you or to a third party. We will provide you or a third party of your choice with your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. Note that this right only applies to automated information that you initially consented to us using or where we used it to perform a contract with you.
● WITHDRAW CONSENT at any time we rely on your consent for the processing of your personal data. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide you with certain products or services. We will notify you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.
If you wish to exercise any of the rights set out above, please contact info@bureautech.com.
No fees usually required
You will not have to pay any fees to access your personal data (or to exercise any other right). However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is manifestly unfounded, repetitive or excessive. Otherwise, we may refuse to act on your request in these circumstances.
What we might need from you
We may need to ask you for specific information to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to persons who do not have the right to receive it. We may also contact you to request further information regarding your request in order to expedite our response.
Response time
We try to respond to all legitimate inquiries within one month. Occasionally, it may take us over a month if your request is particularly complex or if you have made multiple requests. In this case, we will notify you and keep you updated.
Complaints to the supervisory authority
EU residents can lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority at any time. However, we would appreciate it if you let us know your concerns before you go to the supervisory authority, so please contact us directly to enable us to do so.
